Looking for Video Content & Author Assets Intern

Unsolicited Press is seeking a detail-oriented, creative intern to help transform our Literary Night events and previous author recordings into high-quality video content and promotional assets for our authors. This role is ideal for someone interested in publishing, digital media, and storytelling, and who wants hands-on experience building content that actually gets used.

What You’ll Do

  • Edit recordings from live and recorded virtual events

  • Cut 3–5 short clips per event (20–45 seconds, vertical)

  • Create 1 polished longer excerpt (1–3 minutes)

  • Add captions (required for all clips)

  • Format videos for Instagram Reels

  • Organize and deliver assets to authors via Google Drive

  • (Optional) Schedule or assist with posting content

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail (this matters more than speed)

  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)

  • Understanding of short-form content (Reels/TikTok)

  • Ability to follow a clear system and hit deadlines

  • Interest in books, publishing, or literary work

Time Commitment

  • ~5–10 hours per week depending on volume and how excited you are to make it happen!
