Publisher Office Hours & Monthly Substack Talks

Unsolicited Press offers two monthly live sessions for writers who want a clearer understanding of how publishing actually works. These sessions are designed to provide context, perspective, and practical insight without requiring a private consult or long-term commitment.

Publisher Office Hours

Publisher Office Hours is a listening-first, live group Q&A led by the publisher of Unsolicited Press.

This space is structured to remove pressure. Attendance does not require speaking, pitching, or participation beyond listening.

Questions typically address:

  • submissions and timing

  • small-press publishing pathways

  • platform expectations and misconceptions

  • publicity myths

  • career decision-making

  • common expenses writers should avoid

This session does not include manuscript critique or pitching.

Monthly Substack Talks

Fourth Wednesday of every month · Paid

On the fourth Wednesday of each month, the publisher will host a live Substack talk focused on publishing, literary labor, and the systems writers operate within.

These talks are thematic rather than advisory, with space for reflection, discussion, and questions.

Details and access will be announced in advance on Substack.

Both offerings are intended as accessible entry points for writers seeking clarity, realism, and informed perspective on publishing without performance or escalation.
