PUBLICIST
Unsolicited Press is looking for a publicist who can work intimately with authors to get press coverage. In this role, you will be working fairly independently so focus and drive are very important. This is a remote position but you will meet with the team via Zoom every few weeks.

Here are the duties:
-Create and execute publicity plans for authors
-Write press releases, press kits, social media posts
-Cultivate relationships with journalists to land spots for authors
-Pitch new stories to media
-Schedule readings and book signings
-Arrange and flesh out talking points for interviews, etc.

BOOK MARKETING MANAGER
We are in need of a book marketing manager who will work alongside our publicity efforts and coordinate marketing campaigns for several books at a time. Duties include:

-Developing and executing marketing campaigns
-Handling emails
-Developing and executing email campaigns
-Using our mailing lists to deliver news about new books
-Setting up social media campaigns
-Write sales materials
-Identify a book's audience
-Setting up ads

EDITORS
Unsolicited Press is seeking editors who are skilled in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. You will be responsible for line edits, copy edits, and working on deadlines. 

You must have experience and we are willing to consider candidates with diverse professional backgrounds. 

BOOK SALES REPRESENTATIVE
​We are looking for an experienced book salesperson. Unsolicited Press is a 100% volunteer operated press, but we are willing to discuss a commission-style setup given the nature this type of work. 

The ideal candidate will already have relationships with accounts. Our books do very well in indie bookstores; we've simply grown and need to bring on another person to pitch books to the trade (retailers, academics, libraries).
