PORTLAND, OR; March 2, 2021—Unsolicited Press announces the debut of A CONTEMPORARY PORTRAIT OF THE SOUTHWEST by Connor M. Bjotvedt. A CONTEMPORARY PORTRAIT OF THE SOUTHWEST is a love letter to the Southwest. The collection follows the journey of a man named John Whenn who, after accepting his position as an adjunct faculty member at Central Arizona Community College, investigates the Southwest and produces a politically charged collection of op-eds which describe in vivid and lurid detail the landscape, people, and history of the region. Connor M. Bjotvedt received his Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Spalding University. He was awarded the Charles E. Bull Creative Writing Scholarship for Poetry by Northern Arizona University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in English, Literature, and Creative Writing. Connor was a 2018 Pushcart Prize nominee and his work has appeared in Rain Taxi, the Santa Fe Literary Review, the Haiku Journal, Three Line Poetry, catheXis Northwest Press, and The Wayfarer, among others. Unsolicited Press was founded in 2012 and is based in Portland, OR. The press strives to produce exceptional works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry from award-winning authors. A CONTEMPORARY PORTRAIT OF THE SOUTHWEST is available on March 2, 2021 as a paperback and e-book (all major retailers). The title is distributed to the trade by Ingram. Comments are closed.
