Unsolicited Press is teaming up with Punk Rock Saves Lives to publish THE PRSL WRITING PROJECT, a book of stories, poems, and whatever else shows up honest from the people who wrote the soundtrack to your survival.
This is not a precious little “celebrity anthology.” This is a community project. A fundraiser. A loud, messy, heartfelt artifact of the scene.
And it’s coming in 2027.
What is The PRSL Writing Project?
It’s writing from your favorite punk rockers. Not brand-safe. Not smoothed down for polite company. Real work. The kind that carries bruises. The kind that still shows up.
Expect short stories, poems, micro-memoirs, weird little experiments, and the beautiful category we’re calling “whatever, really.” If you’ve ever made it through a year because a song held you together, you already understand what this book is trying to do.
Why this matters
Punk Rock Saves Lives exists because community is a survival strategy. Because care is an action. Because we don’t wait for permission or funding or approval to take care of each other.
Every cent from this project will be used to create community, heal, and help.
That’s the whole point. You buy a book, you move money toward mutual aid. You share the announcement, you widen the circle. You show up, you keep somebody else from disappearing.

This anthology features contributors connected to bands like Alkaline Trio, Guttermouth, Audio Karate, Home Grown, Fenix TX, Dance Hall Crashers, The Bombpops, The Coathangers, Tsunami Bomb, Dwarves, American Steel, Heartsounds, ToyGuitar, Choking Victim, Rx Bandits, Good Riddance, and more.
It’s stacked. It’s feral. It’s going to hit.

Yes, 2027. Because this lineup deserves more than a rushed cash-grab. We’re building something solid, something worth keeping, something that lasts longer than a scroll.
