About MATTHEW DUFFUS

As the director of the Gardner-Webb University writing center in Shelby, North Carolina, Matthew Duffus is dedicated to writing transformative fiction. Strongly influenced by the late Barry Hannah, he crafts character-driven cathartic stories that he believes need to be told, exploring the tensions and challenges of the varying communities we all inhabit. A loving husband and father, Matthew is also the author of the forthcoming story collection Dunbar's Folly and Other Stories.
